Really neat how it seems to blow a cap out the front to maintain and help prevent it from getting squirrelly in such a transition. At least that's what I think is happening.
So when the vehicle goes horizontal is that a rocket that is pushing it that fast because it would seem like a rocket could not burn long enough to sustain that through the long cruise phase of that supersonic missile. It seems like it would almost need to be a rocket booster which obviously it is to go vertical initially but it almost seems like it would need to be a rocket booster to begin its horizontal flight but it would have to transition into an air breathing engine to sustain power like that for its long duration flight.
