Diamonds of this size are like sawdust for them. The real value is almost nothing. I guess there is some value if you sell them back to a jeweler. Probably a sink so that there's not just an infinite supply of small diamonds out there and people realize they're not particularly valuable (beyond the (sweatshop) labor required to cut them which is true of all gemstones)
Collecting gold is legit. This is probably a job all goyim will enjoy in teh future.
