for their fields is so that they can get those amazing high yields you get from a fully sprayed field of GMO crops.
And the only reason they need (not want, but need) those yields is because middleman, in bed with commodity speculators, bleed them fucking dry on the margin.
At the same time a buyer who was interested in non-GMO crops would have to understand that they have to pay more. I'm sympathetic. I'm just saying there's a consequence to every decision.
Well, loss during transport due to mishandling and spoilage is a real thing.
