This is where I pay attention to the past.
Falcon 9 was going to do the Mars DIRECT program.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mars_Direct
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SpaceX_Red_Dragon
Red Dragon would have qualified for Mars Direct. The cheapest and FASTEST way to mars.
SpaceX could.Not.Do.It.
Incapable.
SLS though?
With Starship, even if it works out in ten years.... you are asking about sending 50,000 tons to mars... and we need 7 launches per mars trip......
SLS can launch a fucking Semi-Truck in one launch with a trailer loaded full with supplies and fuel and you could drive that semi truck around mars and eat snack cakes all day.
Thats what it can do right now.
Just build the martian semi-truck and NASA WILL PAY YOU TO DO IT.
Muh SLS
lol Compare production/launch cost.
SLS is one way ticket.
Ok.
SLS: 1 billion per launch and can go to mars.
Spacex: Can't go to mars at all.
Cost comparison done.
1 billion per launch
lol
and can go to mars.
lol You sure hope 1 billion would achieve that.
Don't be so mad Starship will do the same at a much affordable price.
You're so blinded by your NASA boner, you refuse to accept other companies are able to innovate.
So sad that they have to cuck to forced diversity over merit and hire low stage mouthpieces.
