Years ago I saw someone use a similar tactic on a local news story. They pulled up with one of those "box utility" trailers behind a pickup truck, parked it over the gas tube and then someone pretended to get out and adjust their hub cap lugnuts, cleaned the truck windows, and wasted a LOT of time while someone inside the trailer must have looted the shit out of their underground gas tank. Not sure what they had inside the trailer, but my guess was multiple barrels or something.
