NYC is absolutely disgusting. Anyone who grew up in a normal town will feel the same way. I grew up on a neighborhood where people were friendly and we knew who lived on our block. We also used to travel to the city in the 90s and around Christmas time. I remember visiting the Empire State Building and the World Trade Center. I have photos we took from the observation decks. That was maybe 1999. It was a city, but it wasn't the crackhead infested shithole it is now. NYC is doomed. 1 billion cut from the NYPD budget last year. Their new DA no longer charges shoplifters. Armed robberies (if police respond and they are caught) will be charged as misdemeanors. Less than a year of jail time. NYC is doomed. Fuck CA too.
