When it's cold they lie dormant, but when you heat them up -- say, with a cooking fire -- they come out to play. I like the door, though. He used actuall boards for the door, and a saw to cut the little diamond-shaped hole.

better of with all treated lumber, plywood, and deck-type screws. well above ground. paint it with oil based something the next warm dry season. a good rain on top of snow will devastate that shack.
