Yeah I don't go to links that are just IP addresses.

There's a push to remove all .ru domains from the Internet. You might want to set that one to the side for future consideration. They won't stop at .ru either.

I wonder how long it will be before everything I check is .onion?

Yeah that sounds terrible, Russian access to the Internet has been nothing but a boon to America. China too. They are terrific trading partners and I love sharing a shared cultural resource like the Web with them. Hurrah for our communist friends on the Intertubes!

You'd prefer to only go to links that are passed through by an obscure middleman you have even less visibility to that could choose at any time to give you a different result, and you'd never know because you don't see an IP address.

Checks out. Fuckin' retard NPC.

Right, because you're so fucking stupid that you don't know that ICANN exists and that there is a name and address associated with every URL in it. What a shame that your mother drank and did drugs while pregnant with you.

Proving how retarded you are by being completely oblivious to how ICANN itself is the MITM I'm talking about.

Fucking boomer Luddite faggot.

All links are technically just IP addresses, though...

But the shadier ones don't always have a DNS lookup on a public DNS server, do they? It seems like at least with a proper URL you're getting a site that can probably be traced back to an owner or administrator with minimal effort A naked IP number could be created by anybody in the same general net region.

Name registrars and some of them major DNS providers simply will not provide services to certain people, so they have no other choice.
