Sounds more like a wrangler.
Are these kids like... "I follow Q drops" retarded, or more like "socially awkward, slow, unpredictable weirdos"?
I ask because "special needs" is such a catch-all term, it covers everything from someone with severe Downs Syndrome, all the way to a kid with "ADHD" who got into a fight or two and is now deemed "special".

Ahaahahahhahhahhahahahhaah fuckin comic GOLD right there.
Somewhere in between i'd say like doing TV talk. whispering to themselves, talking in uncontrollable vocal volume up and down. What in my day we used to call Mongoloids. A bit misshapen physically usually overweight that sort of thing. Wrangler is the correct term but this prick IS a teacher believe or not and while I can understand that being with them all the time can get exhausting, this guy definitely should seek new employment.
Mongoloids... what you describe really sounds like Downs Syndrome.
And you're right, if that "teacher" can't handle this shit, someone else with the correct demeanor should. Every person has different temperament and levels of stress they can take before they snap and lash out.
Someone like me... I wouldn't last a month with what you described. Not for other people's kids. Unless I was being paid absurdly well, with all the benefits and fixin's... and I was frequently reminded of how much I'm being paid (like by driving to and from school in some fancy sports car), I'd lose it.
But there are others out there with the patience of saints, who could literally have 12 insane retards fucking everything up and screaming and drooling on everything, but they remain absolutely serene (externally, at least); this seems to be the most effective way at dealing with these kinds of kids. Beating them up or brutalizing them fixes the immediate, short-term issue (example: little nigger retard is drooling on your foot, so you kick him in the face- he's not drooling on your foot anymore, but the brain damage you gave him will make him drool more in the future), but truly connecting to and... using feelings somehow seems to be more effective.
I'll never understand how they do it. They're usually females, but maybe this line of work just tends to attract women more often?

Bingo. I have a DA on my bus. Drivers assistant or Matron if you like that term better and that describes her to a T. MY job is made a hell of a lot easier because of this amazing woman.
