The question asked of the Pfizer exec was, to paraphrase, "Sometimes people don't want to take the drugs that are prescribed to them. How can we change that?" And his answer, paraphrased again was "We can put a tiny chip in the pill that reports when the patient has taken the pill," and then he actually says, and this is a direct quote, "imagine the compliance."

well at least someone has a working iq of at least 100 on here... how the fuck are people so dumb that they can't comprehend this and instead squeal 'what you said in the title isn't the exact quote!'. the dumbing down of people is insane, i encounter it absolutely everywhere on the internet now and spend half my time groaning or facepalming at the replies i get. it was never this prolific before.

I am not sure whether it's "People are getting dumber" or it's "More people than ever before are online now and there have always been this many dumb people, except you couldn't hear their stupidity through the standard barriers society places around the common man, but the Web amplifies every voice."

Occam's Razor tells me that people are just getting dumber.
