Those who believe in free will are making the claim that their brains don't conform to the laws of physics by which the rest of the universe works. It's a nonsensical claim and a nonsensical idea. You have as much free will as a computer.

I agree with that. I have always had a problem with the word free will. I have no idea what it could possibly referring to in a universe where everything has cause and effect.

It's a little like people talking about the concept of nothing. I have no idea what that could possibly mean, how I could expeirence nothing or how I could point to nothing.

We have a lot of terms in our language that sound like they mean something but they don't really.

I just read the wikipedia page on philosophical zombies. Throwing out that all wikipedia is garbage and going with the standard def of a philosophical zombie, what you just wrote is one of the dumbest fucking things I have ever read.

I was NOT even remotely posting about nonsense like the idea of philosophical zombies. You aren't even watching anything even remotely close to the idea of the duality of the mind and body. That is absurd and an idea held only by morons that read twitter and have no clue about bilogy and related sciences.

What the video is actually bout is the notion of the singular expression of an artificial intelligence unit expressed (programmed) as a piece of wetware and the FLASHING OF NEW FIRMWARE into the wetware in such a way that over time it takes control over the flesh in a parasitic relationship. You can literally see two people staring at you at the same time through one pair of eyes in the first video. In the second video, that is just a low iq female unable to comprehend the world and ends up being corrupted by it.

Garbage concepts like mind body duality are ideas of a primitive time. What is more interesting to consider is the idea of what it means for a piece of wetware to gain sentience, enter the world, and open up ports in the firewall to start learning. The mind bender is really at what point does learning something new eventually metastasize into a "holy shit, this isn't raw data, this is part of a larger contiguous external artificial intelligence that is trying to take over this wetware and install it self". I reject the use of the mind body duality because it refers to our ancestors noticing that there is a difference between hardware and software but not having the language or understanding to properly categorize either or understand the correlation. In the case of this video, there is no reference to mind body duality. The mind is expressed within the hardware design and we refer to it as wetware rather than firmware. Yet, we do accept that higher order abstractions could possibly exist such us software at the level of culture and shared by a group of people that can and probably does control or influence those it infects.

The creepy part isn't watching a skinjob be worn like a puppet or even seeing two people stare back at you through her eyes. It's knowing that we are all potentially vulnerable in the same way as her and perhaps even infected.
