No government willingly gives up power and dickless little tyrants like Trudeau certainly don't give up power without either being forced or having a ulterior motive.
I think this was just the trial run. This was to get folks used to leaders invoking emergency powers and declaring martial law. "It worked out fine last time... stop worrying so much" or as AOU would say "Stop being a concern troll"
hum... and there just happens to be a US truck convoy forming...
The reason he's revoking it is because there was a run on the banks. After people saw he could and would freeze funds because of a donation to a protest, it became clear to many Canadians their money is not safe in a Canadian bank.
Banks in turn pressured Trudeau to stop the madness. Don't expect media reports on this though.

As always, it comes down to the money
Trudeau fucked up and pushed for too much too fast. He's done politically.
He wasn't going to get the Senate to affirm it and when Ukraine declares their state of emergency, the comparison would be even more laughable. It was a cynical choice.
