The store owners try to convince you that putting your cart away is some kind of virtue signaling when they are too cheap to hire attendants. The store owns the parking lot and the cart yet claims no responsibility for damages. They got rid of the baggers and now they are getting rid of the cashiers. They now expect you to bag your own groceries. Next it will be a virtue signal to scan your own groceries. All of this is to increase profit margins at the expense of customer service.
