I watched this yesterday. Real life is crazier than any story we could ever make up and the universe is so big that this probably happened. Not exactly but there’s probably been a thousand dead civilizations before humans ever woke up. I like this guys videos. Space is nice to think about when you’re feeling overwhelmed. It’s so big that everything we do is pretty pointless. I can’t wait for the James Webb pictures to start coming in. According the their schedule we’re a few months away from that. I havnt heard any bad news yet

I really think our civilization is heading for doom. Maybe not forever but we are going to be in very bad shape in about 50 years. It’s basically gonna come down to can we outsmart our problems. Like the fact that we’re gonna run out of top soil. That’s a fun problem to look into. WhTs that mean? It means industrialized farming is basically sucking our farm land dry, it means we won’t be able to grow food. Well I just eat pork and whatever. No cause that’s how we feed them too. Well I’ll just eat fish. No we’ve been overfishing the oceans too.

It’s not soil erosion. The farming techniques they use in the farming industry basically squeeze all the nutrients out of the soil. All the shit they put in it. Like drinking a coke and being left with an empty can. That’s where we are heading in a few decades useless farmland. Unless they figure something out like how to fix it. It’s takes about 300 years for the top soil to be replaced

Nope. Soil lacks nutrients. Taking food from land via consumables will of course lower nutrients. A shitskin eating berries and shitting in a new location has the same effect as a combine harvester.

This is where industrial farming comes in. Synthetic chemical factories making fertilizer to add back to the soil.

Wind and rain will always erode soil. It's a natural process.

Plants slow this down.

Removing plants speeds it up.

In shitskin Lands non industrial they have worse erosion. It takes empathy to build shelter belts. Long term foresight which they don't have.
