He also told the judge that he has enough money to hire his own attorney and has reportedly reached out to Mark O'Mara, the attorney who worked for George Zimmerman.[56][57] He later hired free speech activist and attorney Norman Kent.[20] On March 10, during his bond trial, he was denied bail and was to remain incarcerated while on trial.[58][59][60] On June 22, 2021, Miller pleaded guilty to one count each of possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition and possession of an unregistered firearm.[61][62] On September 28, Miller was sentenced to 41 months' imprisonment followed by three years' supervised release.[63] In November 2021, Miller was incarcerated at USP Atlanta.
