Ah, yes. The annual "Running of The Jews" in Borough Park, Brooklyn.

A very dangerous event, that features at least one human fatality almost every year. The course runs straight down 14th Avenue, beginning at 37th Street and running all the way down to the finish line at 65th, where the beginning of the race is signaled by the dropping of a single shekel from shoulder height, onto the pavement. The sound reaches all the way up to the starting line and the sensitive ears of the jews waiting there.

The competitors, upon hearing the sound of a loose shekel, go into a frenzy of avarice (not unlike the better known 'feeding frenzy' of sharks), sprinting down the avenue in savage abandon, to the shrieks of "OY VEY!!" It is a perilous time for all concerned to be out and about. Unsuspecting pedestrians have been known to be trampled to death by the stampeding horde of jews, bent on fulfilling their genetic impulses, like salmon swimming upstream to spawn.

Women, children and other persons of sensitive disposition are advised to avoid the area if possible, or to avert their eyes.

Is that really a thing? Wouldn't surprise me at this point.
