Thanks goodness we don't live in this; that said, these videos are amazing to watch

This video of cluster bombs at 5:00am on a modern residential street in Azerbaijan was pretty crazy to see. During the 2020 Turkey vs. Azerbaijan war. Lots of crazy combat footage from that short but serious modern conflict. Crazy drone strikes and footage like this.

Yeah, Autonomous 20mm cannon that fires HE tracer rounds that self destruct when the tracer burns out so the shells don't rain down on the Jewish or Palestinian people below if they miss the incoming missile or artillery or mortars.. The Navy's Phalanx CIWS is what what led to this, but for use on land. The Navy version uses HE and Depleted Uranium 20mm shells with no self destruct feature. The same Phalanx radar and autonomous system can fire anti missile missiles instead of 3,000 RPM bullets. The SEARAM system which is the same autonomous radar unit but fires the RAM or Rolling Airframe Missile

It isn't clear to me if this system can effectively deter an attack from one of these newfangled hypersonic missiles. Didn't find anything specifically stating as such.

They're pretty ineffective from what I understand, but there are similar systems like the SEAram which is the same radar and targeting system but shoots missiles at the incoming missile. That is said to probably work against most hypersonic missiles.

Also it annoys me that people seem to think the US doesn't have hypersonic missiles. We developed the technology. We had a piloted mach 7 rocket plane in 1960. The X-15. We tested the Boeing X-51 Waverider in 2014, the fastest air-breathing aircraft of all time, it went mach 10 for 2 minutes, traveled like 700 miles. Obviously meant to be a hypersonic missile. I'd bet our SSGN submarines already carry hundreds of them.
