Optic fiber doesn't emit radiation. It carries faint light, with shielding to prevent escape.

Copper carrying signals goes in both directions through the pair, so there is little escape of energy (the fields are between the wires, which are right next to each other). Coax has a heavy shield.

For the only reason that I don't have a fiber jack or transciever on my laptop or desktop. Its gotta be rj45 for today and fiber for tomorrow
