The most WONDERFUL part of growing older for me is being able to imagine and feel old photographs or walk through ancient ruins and think that the people living at that time were just us having the same conversation we are having today.
When I was a kid, anything beyond the scope of a few years was this alien fiction that almost meant nothing. As I grow older, the distance between my self and the past simply disappears. Old black and white photos are just old friends that I have never met that would be telling the same stories well tell each other today, merely in a different tongue.
I love listening to our elders stories, it's like going through a time machine sometimes.
