You can never trust a dog 100%. When their instincts override their conditioning they can do a lot of damage. If one day the baby should pull on the dogs testicles or hit the dog on the nose you're just rolling the dice.

That's just lack of training. I snapped a dog with a towel in the balls once and just got what I would describe as a confused growl. It was a total freak accident while playing but I think I gave him some good meat to make up for it... point is, I'd 100% trust that dog.
