Referencing dogs as brother/sister/son/daughter/etc is gay and weird. It's a misconception that k-9s are mean, aggressive, on edge, whatever. If you've ever played with a dog that loves to fetch, you've seen the mindset they are in when they attack. They just think instead of getting a ball they need to grab someone with their mouth. I know a cop that was doing some training and decided to see what would happen if he released his dog while he was under a suspect(typically he would be on top, maybe trying to cuff and the suspect is resisting). Dog jumped out and immediately started trying to bite him. Dog did that because it's just a game and that game to him was called "fur missle out of car and bite the person lowest on the ground". A dog operatinh the way most people think k-9s do wouldn't be able to listen to any commands.
