Before agriculture they got them from eating animals that were grazing on much more nutritionally dense vegetation than is around today. Between agriculture and pre WWII it was still mostly local produce and meat and was more nutritionally dense than is available today. Then Factory agriculture and slaughter became the predominant supplier and food started to become less nutritionally dense as the world's population more than quadrupled in the last 75 years.
We are what our food eats and our food isn't eating natural food. It's eating Gmo corn and that shit ain't good.
