That’s what I was trying to say. It’s always abstract thinking about other people dying or being tortured and not existing. But those people feel every bit of that. It’s so hard to put yourself in their shoes. Like those cartel videos where people are being skinned alive. That shit actually happened to somebody. Somebody to endure that. One day we won’t exist and it’s hard to grasp. Everything will be over.

Empathy is a bit of a double-edged sword. Sometimes you really don't want to think too hard about how someone else feels.
