DNTW - to promote retention.

The retention notion has been debunked: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udNXMAflbU8

It seems that the holes are more relevant to the manufacturing process, particularly during the plug insulation molding process.

engineers

It's for alignment during manufacture

it's a historical method that was just never changed

So are you an engineer?

How many other "engineers" are on here?

So, basically, unless you work at the manufacturing plant, which I'm pretty sure there are no "engineers" working on the assembly line (if there are, they've obviously made some bad career choices), even the hired, John Q public off the street, operating the machine that actually requires those "holes for alignment" would tell you -

WHO THE FUCK CARES!!!! I'M JUST HERE FOR A FUCKING PAY CHECK!!!

Go waste somebody else's time.

Tell me you know nothing about ISO standards and production lines without telling me.
