Ear drums permanently damaged?

Without a doubt. Easily 180 dB.

Not necessarily. Some people are just born with ears that can take a massive beating without getting any damage.

Other people have ears that get fucked up from dropping a glass on a stone floor.

Either way, that guy deserves whatever he got - if the video is real.

If you shoot .38 special out of a revolver inside your house without adequate hearing protection, you won't be hearing shit for a long time. Tinnitus is also extremely likely. I've shot long guns outside without hearing protection as a youngster, and even that can fuck you up a bit. Anyone will be permanently affected, though the extent of hearing damage might vary between individuals.

His hearing was fucked before pulling the trigger. Exhibit A - that shit he was listening to.

Except it was f&g. He was limp wrist and there still wasn't any recoil.

Small arms don't hit 180db indoors unless you are firing it trapped in a refrigerator. Pistols are usually 150-160. Rifles hit 170+ especially with a brake. Suppressors should be legal. The ATF is fucking retarded and our government sucks.

A .22 has no recoil.

So what do the guys do that were in combat with all the shooting going around? How did they not go mad and deaf from all the loudness?
