Not one word about the weed smell, just the gun. This must be one fucked up family since the weed was the reason the gun went off. He didn't even react hardly so he was high he was totally baked or fried beyond recognition. Anyone that high should not use anything that could be deadly since they are a zero attention span and zero coordination virtually, accident waiting to happen is the most accurate description.

The reason the gun went off is because he pulled the trigger on a weapon that didn't need to be loaded. The weapon functioned as intended and responded to the user's inputs. This isn't the fault of drugs. He could have performed the same actions with an unloaded gun and no one would have been the wiser.
