It's only an idol is whorshipped. Zero Christians worship trees. Literally not an idol.

This whole "God knows I'm not worshipping the tree" garbage is a lie. You may not intend to indulge in pagan revelry but God sees you doing all the same things pagans of old were doing. Look into the history of Christianity. Did the apostles who were taught by Jesus celebrate Christmas or the winter festivals?

Go read about Nebuchadnezzar, and his wife saying his spirit was in the tree, to "knock on wood" to get his attention. They decorated the trees. Of course we render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's when we have Christmas.. but many religious festivals are pagan based.
