Just to add if you are not convinced and thinking of doing something like this don't give the original salesman any money. Tell him if this is so great give me supplies and when/if i start to make profit in a year i will give you the money for those starting supplies. Make a contract stating this if he agrees. But don't worry he will never agree because he knows you will never make any profit.
