The world we were all denied due to the liars and charlatans.

What they have stolen from us is truly immeasurable.

Same here when I first saw it, and every now and then still will when I watch it. Gives me hope.

The smiles and adoration were as honest and true today as they were then. That does give hope.

Gave thought to making this a post in and of itself.

"Look Who's Back," is the name of the movie this is from. It is a fictional comedy but also speaks to our modern reality. Would recommend.

The story (no spoilers) is that Hitler comes out of a bunker in downtown Munich somehow. He sees our modern problems and becomes a leader for change.

This is one of those films that many people won't connect with, but I enjoyed. It has some outrageously funny moments IMO.

Though it should be noted, the movie is fiction but the reactions of people to Hitler were real and unscripted.

the movie is fiction

You mean Hitler didn't really come back?

[–] 4 pts

He came back in our hearts, fren.

[–] 1 pt

Yes just wanted to clarify, it wasn't a documentary, I'm sorry to say haha

What do you mean?

Do you mean when filming by standers reacted?

[–] 0 pt

Yeah. Unscripted reactions of bystanders were included in the film. There are various articles kvetching about the fact that regular Germans reacted this way.

This says 300 hours of reactions were filmed. According to the director, the ones included in the film were "very representative". I don't know if that's true, but maybe so. https://www.theguardian.com/film/2015/oct/06/hitler-look-whos-back-director-david-wnendt-interview

I remember watching it years ago. Don't recall much about it. It was suggested as a comedy. I don't recall laughing much.

The only nitpick I have from memory is the scene of him desecrating a Dog's corpse to use as a comedy prop. That's definitely not what Uncle Adolf would do.

You wouldn't happen to have a link to the movie on hand, would you?

Nice reflection - it's how I feel sometimes, simply walking down the street: so much degeneracy and mediocrity - not having a proper anchor of True Righteousness.

I'm glad t.me is/are strolling along though.

Hitler will always be a martyr and hero.

[–] 2 pts

People love Hitler, and will welcome him back.

will?

[–] 0 pt

Maybe that is the real second coming, the resurrection / rebirth of Hitler.

[–] 2 pts (edited )

Fun fact: the scenes of him driving around getting saluted were real and by random citizens.. even a black guy. Hitler treated Jesse Owen's at the 1936 Munich Olympics with in his own words "better than my President treats me".

We definitely need a new Hitler.

The book was a little left but even so Hitler hated how distant and self involved his country had become. He was more for the people helping one another. It was written a few years ago and I'm sure if it came out now it would be very different.
