Sounds like BS. 1st responders are statistically useless. If he waited until police showed up to run in the kids had probably been dead for like an hour already
I didn't pay attention to where this occurred, but small city/town police can be quick it respond.
They allegedly woke up with the house "engulfed in flames". A neighbor or passersby might have called in the fire as they were waking up. 5 minutes is a resonable response time from anywhere in the city, could be much faster if a officer was a few blocks away.
Okay so why the hell would you run outside to go ask the cops if you can go back in and get your kid. The fastest way to get the kid is from your room to theirs.
He likely couldn't make it. Then lost it after going out and trying to collect himself, cops did him a favor his opportunity to die in the fire with his kid was gone after he left he building.
According to the video that couldn't get into the kid's room from the inside.
Firefighters show up pretty fast. It is not necessarily faster than a fire but a few minutes -- depending on where you live
