Edit: After watching both the videos you posted of the fisherman’s not and the noose, I guess there is slight differences depending on who you talk to. But my grandfather showed me how to tie fishhooks with a noose, and in a knot book i grew up with said they were the same thing
I use the noose knot when fishing. It works perfectly for the usage of a downward pulling force and only gets tighter as they struggle more against it. The amount of tension this knot can take before it breaks is quite high a well.
