It's a part of Frankism, similar to the jewish chicken killing ritual. They tell you what they're going to do, and if you accept it, even passively, then the sin is on you.

To manifest their desires, they need first to manifest on everyone else's minds. Then their plans are already solidified as a construct, even though they havent started it yet. Then when it goes live, your mind loses the element of surprise and does not crash with it as it is already telegraphed by you. Its why the old Catholic teachings say that satan will always tell you firsthand his plan, so its easier for you to fall for it and get you to make plans fearing for its inevitable end.

Because they KNOW you’ll do nothing.
