Buses. They exist. They can ride the bus for a week.
I think they let people out for any excuse because people who make up bullshit to get out of jury duty are not who you want on a jury. No sense of honesty, just trying to get home, someone could get acquitted or convicted just as a matter of convenience to themselves.
