99 was the last year. All these auteur directors that still had some muscle went swinging with their most creative attempts to make the film of the century.
So many movies were released that would never been greenlit after.
Bringing out the dead. Fight club, American beauty, being John malcovich, magnolia, election, the insider, office space, plus more.
Plus many other “greats” American pie, eyes wide shut, iron giant, green mile, galaxy quest, Blair witch.
It was a special time.
I keep watching movies hoping I’ll see something good. It’s all bullshit now. I just don’t have anything better to do at work sometimes and it’s harder to find good older movies than a new movie. I just watched American beauty a month or so ago. That was interesting to say the least
I’m aware of this film, but I never watched it. I assumed the eight heads had once sat upon the neck of a scumbag, and they got what they had coming.
