Well I had basically no adult supervision from age 15 and up. When I was supposed to be in 11th grade some friends and I started skipping out of school early and hopping freight trains to Long Beach to see punk shows. Then a bit further, then we did a north south train hop to the Bay Area and then did the big one, we went to Nola from la and back again. Main issue was in Texas they have a checkpoint that’s along the southern border and the word from other train hoppers was they did serious security checks with things such as thermal scans. So we covered up with the space blankets like we were chipotle burritos and made it there and back. That’s the whole story.
