That is one level of resolution at which we can evaluate the threat. We can zoom in for more detail and and imagine not only specific targeting but unique delivery mechanisms. We can imagine everything from infiltration into the our medical and food supplies and delivery through obfuscation to deliver via micro targeting at an individual level. We can zoom in even further still to the level of the lone wolf with a crispr machine in the basement fiddling and perhaps even deliberately creating genetically targetted substances that can be deployed using all kinds of new delivery mechanisms either to a population or down to targeting of a single individual.

We can also zoom out to a larger resolution and imagine a big picture, long term, slow moving strategy to COMPLETELY pollute the genome of a particular species of human from which than cannot exit because no source of pure genetic strains exist.

If China was working on a weapon system that targets race and ethnicity to the point of building a prototype, they only way we'd hear of it is in the inevitable lab accident that wipes out a whole town. Because the chinks don't develop new shit that works. They can't. Unless a white guy developed it where they can crib his notes, it ain't happening.

Chinks are smart, but they are not very creative anymore, and they go immediately to the cheat tactics under pressure. So expect falsified data on tests, at the very least.

I don't think anyone can predict how any of this will work or affect anyone yet. If you look at the chyna virus, it was engineered and include an aids delivery mechanism all of which was supposed to target the best known way to propagate a bio weapon, which is through the lungs. And yet, it turned out to be fairly benign. It may actually turn out to be really difficult to actually engineer something that is actually effective and wipes out a whole town.

On the other hand, a kid in a basement my accidentally generate a kind of airborne prion that spreads through our respiratory system and kill the entire planet.

Your point is valid though. Just proposing other potential ways of thinking about how many possible outcomes we are exposed to.

The only way racially-targeted bioweapons could work is to leverage an advantage or vulnerability already found inherently within a genotype, which sets it apart from others. I mean it's not like you could get a virus to be bias.
