In 1977, while visiting my sister stationed at a USAF base in Britain, she was a crew chief for the A-10 Thunderbolt II warthog. She mentioned that their base had a secret jet that only flew in and out of the bunker at night and that all runway area lights were turned off at such times. It was the Blackbird.
