Depends on how you go about it. If you shit on Christianity from a far right perspective, calling it out for being too leftist, it works, mostly because the audience expects antichristan sentiment to come from the left. You are right in that most antichistian comedy is terrible and unfunny due to how unoriginal and predictable it is, and, as norm pointed out, often poorly researched and attacking the best known parts of Christianity from the outside that includes all the misconceptions and lack of knowledge that cones with an oursiders stereotyped and uninformed point of view. It's the same issue with most anti white stuff, like one thing I saw on TV where they asked "what if white people were slaves to black people?" Which for most sounds somewhat coherent, but fir soneone acquainted with the history of whites bring slaves to not one, but four different races from themselves, it rubs me the wrong way. you are correct in that if you attack Islam or LGBT that's gonna be edgy no matter how you do it, because these are sacred cows of our time, which is what comedy should be attacking, the most cherished and unquestionable aspects of our society.
