The reason for missing white girl syndrome is that if they paid attention to missing girls of other races, it would reveal the disproportunate amount of violent crime committed by nonwhite races. The media chooses not to follow the story of a missing black girl because they know that it's probably due to a black guy killing her, and probably doing a lot of other horrific stuff as well.
