Oh god, sand? In a horses ass? That sounds dangerous and unpleasant for everyone involved.
Watch a horse eat hay in the sand. Eating sand becomes unavoidable. Seeing the vet nonchalantly reach in and pull pit the sandy muck was quite a site for me. My daughter works in an animal hospital, but there are no horses in the big city where she works.
Never talked with her about this. I will tomorrow. She's tough.
Now that you say it, it makes sense. Sand is not a common soil in my area so I never have had to think about it, thankfully. That just sounds incredibly uncomfortable, like a sandy vag x10.
I am reminded of the horse grooming scene from the
So why wouldn't the rancher set up a feeding trough? We used to own a horse and never put her food on the dirt because we didn't want her teeth damaged.
He's dead now. But back then and out there in Arizona, I saw them all doing it. These mustangs were rescues, adopted from the govt. Unrescued were always slaughtered.
Was this in just the last few feet of the intestines? That's crazy. I am sure the horses felt better though.
Horses would jut lay down and stay down when they were full of it. Once attended, they were up and frisky again. These were all mustangs. I got to break one of them, gaining trust with apples and carrots and being gentle and very patient. Usually, they were dangerous as hell. Mine got to know me and to trust me. I slipped on bareback without reins and that young mustang just stood still. After a few minutes, I slipped down and stood in the corral with that horse. My uncle wanted it to be a fighter, but it was a lover. I ruined that horse with kindness. LOL
