I remember being at my cousins in rural Alabama one time. Cotton fields and dirt roads. Every single hole had water and every single hole was packed with tadpoles. It was crazy. Thousands of them. And hundreds of puddles. And they probbaly all died frogs should really find a better place to have your babies than a puddle.

Those frogs are about as smart as worms that crawl out onto asphalt when it rains.

I have a fuzzy memory of that too. When I was a child and we moved to another house. Walked around the neighborhood and there were so many dead worms on the side walks, seemed like millions at the time. It’s funny how you see that with nature sometimes. You’ll randomly see a huge population of a certain species then you’ll never see it again like that. Like they just spike and die off. That’s what’s gonna happen with humans. People think we arnt fucking up the world idk the extent of it but we definitely are. It’s not possible for us not to at this point. That’s how nature works. When there’s too many of a certain animal it’s gonna be brought down to a sustainable level one way or another
