At least since the Civil War, in half-ish the country, that's obviously true. Hawaiians and Alaskans had fuckall say in it. Texas should be its own country. Florida was stolen from the Spanish. Etc. I also agree with what you say. I'd just assume raise a new Republic. The Constitution was a good one, but it's been marred beyond recognition, and I don't think it has sufficient mechanisms to protect the freedoms originally enshrined therein. Particularly, nothing prevented 'judicial review' from substituting a whole different set of rules.
