One of the problems with gasoline engines that've sat too long is the seals are saturated with lighter fractions which evaporate over time and cause them to dry out. This is why diesels can sit longer, the heavier diesel oil tends not to evaporate, which coats the seals.
In this case, it looks like enough oil was blowing past the rings that it kept the seals coated, lol.
