When I was in high school, I never would have imagined there would be a day when teenagers not only wanted to go to class... but they used a measure of force to do so.

The last time true force was used to get someone to go to school was the disaster of desegregation. Remember those photos of the little niglet girl being escorted into the school by National Guardsmen armed with rifles? That was the state saying "You'll accept niggers wherever we want to put them, or you will be shot."

They probably only "want" to go because they've been threatened and told that they need to.

School is the only source of social interaction for many kids. The problem is the lack of an alternative gathering place for them. If they had a community center full of other kids and a tutor to guide self education every one of them would choose that instead.
