My very first shot with a pellet gun (first shot with any gun that wasn't a toy) and I shot a sparrow through the heart at about 40ft. I thought there was no way in hell I'd hit anything so I took aim on it sitting on the fence, pulled and it dropped to the other side. Naturally I thought it flew away but when I went over I saw the bullethole and the bird was frozen in the position it was sitting on the fence. An instant kill. I was proud but I didn't want to shoot anything again.
