Why grab the tail? In what scenario is that a good idea? You give the snake maximum leverage, attach yourself TO it AND put your face and upper body in its face.

I mean that's basically the crocodile hunter technique, you grab the tail and pull it up into the sack before it realizes what the fuck is going on. Don't think it works with a biggun like that though. You have to get it's neck/head with the L shaped pole and pin it to the ground.

The tail has the least muscle and it is farthest away from the lethal mouth.
You have to grab the bull by the horns and snakes by their heads.
If you get a good grip you can twist the entire body and it can't hold itself up. Difficult as hell though.
