man called 911 to report he was injured, after being struck by a Tesla. The man, identified as 47-year-old, Arthur Bates Jr., told officers the Tesla backed into him, causing him to fall to the pavement, and that the driver then fled the scene. Bates was complaining of back, leg and neck injuries, resulting in an ambulance and fire truck to be dispatched to the location.

What the smaller version that will be road legal everywhere? The prototype already exists, Elon has driven people around in it. If your argument against it is that it doesn't exist right now, that has a bad track record as an argument against him. I.E. Reusable rockets.

The difference between a prototype vehicle and a production vehicle is roughly 2 years and 50 to 75 million dollars.
