If you don’t own a dash cam you should buy one. It’ll Get you peace of mind. I bought one. Got in accident a few months later. Guy didn’t try to lie and blame it on me but if he had I can only imagine the hell that would have been. Plus all the other shit you catch on camera. Iv seen like 3 road rage incidents. I saw a train almost hit another train sparks flying like rain. I saw a power line arc of electricity. I drive in 100 mph winds. I couldn’t even see the road. I ran over a baby possum. ACCIDENTLY. I was driving I saw something in the road, it was night. I thought it was a cup or something. Then I got about 5 feet from it. I saw it’s little baby possum eyes lookin at me. Bump. I wish I had one when I saw the green asteroid. Cause that was weird. Yes a green asteroid. A slow moving green asteroid.
Yeah, I got one years ago for the protection, but kept it for all the great clips of bad drivers etc. I've amassed ~1500 clips since then. I feel naked the rare time I don't have one or it's not working. It's the first line of defense against liars if you get in a wreck.
It helped me a lot with my road rage too. I used to always be coming down of meth running assholes off the road. I don’t do it now that I’m filming myself potentially committing felonies. I miss it though. Letting everything slide is not good for my blood pressure
Similar with frustration, partly from posting the videos and having other people comment for me to lighten up. It's clear that they're just surrogates for shitty people in my life, doing shitty things on the road and bring up those issues. I always want to drive in a zen way and just treat others like natural obstacles or hazards to calmly give space for and go about my day unscathed and unharmed, but fuck to constantly accommodate self-entitled assholes is usually too much and I fail at the zen approach.
