If you have an ATM card, the bank already has your history. The machine can simply deny your account based on that card, and keep the card to boot.

Douse the machine in petrol.

An ATM, as if they'll let cash survive much longer.

I think people are starting to realize how important privacy is. While this is not directly related to privacy, the technology and the tracking all works together. The (smart) cars, phones, and computers, banking surveillance (because of the "drug war"), internet cookie tracking, is all working against us. The lack of privacy gives a big upper hand to those who want to regiment society and turn it into a technocracy.

Don't give up your guns. Use cash were possible. Support small businesses, and avoid corrupt big businesses that insist on draconian measures. Vote with your feet and money, and start to selectively round out who you associate with. Take measures to protect your privacy by switching to Linux. Ditch your smart phone if you can, or seek out how to degoogle your phones and tablets. Every little bit of resistance helps.

Most gave up on privacy well over a decade ago. Zuck himself said how "all of these morons are just giving me everything" because he "built" a thing they liked. People are stupid. People have only gotten more stupid over time. I have been trying to get friends/family to use encrypted messengers (phone or on pc) for well over a decade... Only a few of them are willing to today even with how easy it has gotten.
