This is the reason they're trying to get control over crypto as well. Crypto won't help you if you don't have access to the internet or electricity.
They are welcoming crypto with open arms, where the fuck have you been?
Some people think crypto is the mark of the devil because it's a worldwide currency. I think it's a method to push back against the fed reserve for example if I work and get paid in crypto and buy my food and home with crypto.... At what point should I pay taxes on any of that? If I use a privacy crypto like Monero it seems that the gov wouldnt even be able to confirm anything.
This is why you're poor.
What's your approach? I got a 401k w company match up to 7%, 5k in stocks and 2k in crypto.
I bought most of my bitcoin around 10k so it's been the most profitable for me so far now that it's at 50k. I sold a good bit at 55k and bought more at 40k.
If you don't have electricity or internet you are absolutely fucked anyway. You think this is a good argument, but it won't matter for shit how much money you or anyone else has in a situation like that. You'll be spending all of your time hunting to little avail.
You raise a good point. It's not about it being "a good argument" but more something to consider when looking for alternatives.
I always laugh when people (I don't exactly mean to direct this at you) think that if a person suggests crypto that they don't also hold metals. I'm not the kind of person to only hold one asset class and think those people are silly to begin with. Anyone competent in finance understands the allure of diversification.
